What are the Registration Options for Interstate Buyers?

Many customers travel from interstate to purchase their RV from Kratzmann Caravans. There are a few options available for interstate buyers when it comes to registering your new purchase shown below.

Unfortunately, as Kratzmann Caravans only operates a business in Queensland, we are not able to register your RV for you in any state other than Queensland.

Provide a Garaging Address in Queensland

If you have an address in Queensland that can be used to garage the RV whether it be a family member, 2nd property, relative or even friends property we should be able to process a Queensland registration on your behalf. You will need the property owner to sign a QLD Garaging Address Form to state that the RV will be stored on the property as its main garaging address.

Click on this Queensland Garaging Address Form link to print/fill out the form and please send it to your Sales Executive at Kratzmann Caravans so we can process your registration in Queensland prior to you taking delivery.
You will also need to provide a New Customer Application (Individual) form for each person on the contract to get a customer reference number and also provide us with Evidence of Identity (100 points of ID). If you are a company that is registering the vehicle please use use the same link however fill out the second page "New Customer Application (organisation)".

Take RV with Unregistered Vehicle Permit

If you don't wish to register your RV in Queensland or are unable to provide a Queensland Garaging Address then you will need an Unregistered Vehicle Permit to travel back to your home state to then visit your local Transport Authority where you can then register your RV.

We can provide a permit of up to 7 days. There is a daily charge for this permit which will be charged on your contract. We do provide you with the credit for QLD Registration if you don't take it up which will more than cover up to 7 days permit however please remember that you still need to pay registration costs in your home state.
Click on this Unregistered Vehicle Permit link for more information as there are many conditions that do apply when travelling with an Unregistered Vehicle Permit.
Choose the shortest possible amount of days for your permit so that you can save money as it is charged daily. You can then put the savings toward your registration costs.
